Governance Overview
The European CLL Association (ECLLA) brings together clinicians, researchers, patient advocates, and partners to advance understanding of CLL and improve care across Europe. Guided by a shared vision of equitable and informed care for all people living with CLL, ECLLA works through collaboration, research, and advocacy, grounded in respect and integrity.
During the interim period, the European CLL Association (ECLLA) will be led by its founding members, who will provide strategic and operational leadership while the governance structure is formally established. Acting in alignment with ECLLA’s vision and values, the founders will guide the organization’s initial activities and oversee the structured formation and appointment of the Board of Directors, Medical Advisory Board, Patient Advisory Board, and Working Groups.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors provides strategic oversight and consists of members who guide the organization in achieving its strategic goals and objectives, enhancing its leadership and governance capabilities. Aim to include board members representation per European regions: North, West, South and East
Medical Advisory Board
The Medical Advisory Board comprises leading experts in CLL and immunology, providing research and medical guidance to enhance the quality of care and research initiatives within the organization.
Patient Advisory Board
The Patient Advisory Board includes representatives from patient groups who provide input and feedback on the needs and perspectives of CLL patients, ensuring their voices are heard in the organization’s activities.
Working Groups
Working Groups are formed of rotating task-based experts who implement the core focus areas of the ECLLA, fostering collaboration and innovation in various domains such as research, policy, and education.
